Unravelling a Sense of Identity at Almond Chu’s Latest Exhibition

Description

A visually striking exhibition, the Home Paradox exhibition delves into themes of identity and the sense of belonging. Using a sci-fi narrative, Almond Chu depicts extraterrestrial beings settling on Earth and evolving into humans, only to discover another planet that is deemed more habitable. However, to relocate would require these aliens to sacrifice half their population and puts them in a dilemma.

Through thought-provoking works, together with his unique blend of photography and storytelling, Chu presents a paradoxical exploration of home, identity and the human condition, challenging us to rethink our understanding of self and place.
