Anime Marathon: Screenings and Talks on the Sekaikei Imagination

Why We Recommend it

Para Site hosts a weekend of screenings, talks and a musical performance, all of which centre around the Japanese concept of Sekaikei.

Non-profit art organisation Para Site presents a two-day programme comprising of anime screenings, a panel discussion on Sekaikei and its visual representation, as well as a special Hong Kong premiere of sound artist Fuyuki Yamakawa.

Sekaikei is a Japanese term that spread primarily through the internet and entered wider popular culture in the 2000s following the success of the animated series Shin Seiki Evangelion. It is associated with subcultural narratives found in animations, light novels, manga, and films.
