Aquasonic: The World’s First Underwater Orchestra Comes to Hong Kong

Why We Recommend it
Danish innovators Between Music perform completely underwater, using a collection of novel instruments such as carbon-fibre violins and the underwater crystallophone.
Description
This extraordinary sound-soaked concert, performed by the world’s first underwater orchestra, is a culmination of a decade worth of research and experimentation by physicists, vocalists, audio engineers, neuroscientists, deep-sea divers, as well as musical instrument makers.
In their eerily melodious and original soundscape, the Danish musicians immerse audiences in the realm between the possible and impossible, using instruments custom-made for subaqueous music-making.
This is Aquasonic’s first concert in Asia, which is performed as a part of the New Vision Arts Festival, a biennial founded to challenge the conventional and broaden realisations and concepts of “art”.
