Austin Bell: A Visual Journey Through HK’s 2,549 Basketball Courts

The latest exhibition at Blue Lotus Gallery showcases Bell’s ambitious project that took him across Hong Kong, covering 140 days and over 40,000 photos. Captured from unique perspectives, these aerial photographs reveal the vibrant colours and geometric designs of the courts, often nestled between skyscrapers and housing estates. This exhibition invites viewers to appreciate not only the aesthetic appeal of these recreational spaces but also basketball as a cherished pastime in the city.

On 16 February, starting from 14:00 onwards, the Blue Lotus Gallery will host a talk and Q&A session with Bell. A week later, the photographer will be at the gallery’s closing event and meet-and-greet session on 23 February, from 14:00 to 18:00.
