Beloved Musical ‘Bug Symphony’ Returns to Stage

Why We Recommend it
Join two humans and a life-sized bug orchestra—conducted by Maestro Mantis—on an adventure as they prepare for the Queen Bee’s coronation in the fun, award-winning musical Bug Symphony.
Description
A Bug Symphony tells the extraordinary story of two humans, Scotty and Lulu, who are interrupted by an incredible spectacle of bugs playing in an orchestra while having a picnic in the forest. They then find themselves on a quest to find the missing notes of the golden orb spider in time for a performance for the Queen Bee’s coronation. During the search, they encounter a cockroach on jazz saxophone, a Broadway stinger and even a deadly killer bug!
The show stars acclaimed British comedy duo Scotty & Lulu alongside the versatile musicians of City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong (CCOHK), who transform into a 20-piece bug orchestra while collaborating on stage with a cast of 30 performers in bug beautifully designed bug costumes who act, sing, dance, and teach young audiences about music along the way.
Fun pre-show events are organised prior to each performance, including an exhibition of real-life bugs—including tarantulas, stag beetles and hissing cockroaches from Madagascar—presented by Herpetologist Goatee Toni.
Performed in English and lasting approximately 100 minutes with a 15-minute interval, the musical is suitable for ages three and above.
