Echoing Above, Blue Lotus’ latest solo exhibition and book launch by renowned photographer Romain Jacquet-Lagrèze, offers a fresh perspective on Hong Kong’s urban landscape by focusing on high-rise buildings. Running from May 10 to 25, this collection highlights the fading craft of bamboo scaffolding, which is constructed by skilled workers known as spiders and will gradually be replaced by metal frames due to safety concerns.

The exhibition also celebrates the tenacity of Hong Kong’s nature – from the diverse birdlife like tropical cockatoos and blue magpies soaring overhead to resilient trees growing from gutters and walls. Jacquet-Lagrèze’s works invite viewers to slow down and rediscover one’s harmony with nature, architecture and tradition that shapes Hong Kong’s unique skyline.
