Description

Blue Lotus Gallery’s upcoming exhibition, Hong Kong Poetry, Hong Kong’s Soul in Focus, explores the city’s vibrant tapestry through the eyes of four celebrated photographers. Fan Ho’s nostalgic black-and-white images capture a bygone era, while Palani Mohan reveals the city’s vibrant scenes and rich colours. Drawing inspiration from Romanticism, Thomas Gust incorporates elements like trees and floral motifs that are juxtaposed with Hong Kong’s cityscape. Romain Jacquet-Lagrèze illustrates the beauty of the city’s different street signs through their worn textures of paint, metal or neon, transforming them into poetic representations of time’s passage.

The exhibition invites viewers to delve into the city’s stories, each layer revealing different aspects that are chaotic yet serene and historic yet futuristic.
