BODW 2025: Curiosity Ignites Innovation

Why We Recommend it

Business of Design Week 2025 brings world-renowned design leaders to Hong Kong to explore cutting-edge creativity — from Olympic torch design to AI — crafting an innovative international dialogue.

Description

From 1 to 6 December, Business of Design Week (BODW) 2025 transforms Hong Kong into a global design hub. Marking the 50th anniversary of China-EU diplomatic relations and the 55th between China and Italy, which is the year-long partner country celebrating Italian creativity and innovation in diverse fields like art and architecture under the theme “Curiosity Ignites Design Innovation.”

At the heart of the event is the BODW 2025 Summit (3–5 December), which features over 50 visionary speakers from around the world such as Carlo Ratti, designer of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic torches; Michele De Lucchi, architect of the Osaka Expo 2025 pavilions; Tim Marlow, Chief Executive of the Design Museum and Ole Scheeren, renowned architect and founder of architectural firm Büro Ole Scheeren.

The Summit dives into six dynamic themes: Urban Visions, Mobility Revolution, Crafted Living, Luxury Reimagined, Innovating with AI & Technology, and Cultural Innovation and Creativity. These high-level discussions will span a broad spectrum of topics, such as luxury branding, next-generation entertainment, as well as motorcycle and aircraft design.

Alongside the main Summit, a variety of concurrent events enrich the week: BODW in the city brings design installations throughout Hong Kong; DesignInspire and the Business of IP Asia Forum offer international creative exhibitions and industry dialogue at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Maison&Objet Intérieurs Hong Kong 2025, meanwhile, returns with an expanded focus on interior design trends, sustainable innovation and craftsmanship. These activities collectively amplify BODW’s role as a catalyst for global cultural exchange and creative leadership.
