Both Sides Now 4: Screening Border-crossing, Internet Culture-Inspired Video Art

Why We Recommend it

Examining new models of making moving image influenced by internet and video game culture, this show juxtaposes works created by local artists with those in the UK.

Description

Showing work made in the past four years, the program explores new aesthetics, visual languages and digital forms that are native to the internet from a diverse roster of practicing artists – including Ming Wong, Angela Su, Joseph Chen and others.

Presented by pioneering Hong Kong art organisation Videotage and UK video art platform Videoclub, the screening highlights contemporary and historical film and video work from the UK, Hong Kong and China that cover a diverse roster of subjects, touching on local and global politics, society, globalisation and science.

The screenings will be followed by talks by the curator and artists.
