Contemporary by Angela Li is presents The Call of the Green, a joint exhibition curated by Eric Shiu-kee Leung. Featuring eight Asia-based artists whose works revolve around the theme of nature, this exhibition examines urbanisation and explores the connection between humans and the natural world.
The exhibition is named after American writer Jack London’s novel The Call of the Wild, inspired by the novel’s theme of a longing to be free and return to the wild. With our lives having been turned upside down in the epidemic, the need to reconnect with Mother Nature has never been more essential.
The eight artists featured at the exhibition are Cho Yeou Jui, Alex Kin-fung Heung, Tenme Sze-fong Kwan, Jaffa Laam Lam, Season Sin-hang Lao, Robert O’Brien, Stephen Chun-hei Wong, and Yan Yan Wong. A wide variety of artworks will be shown, ranging from oil landscape paintings to wood-carved sculptures.
