Celebrate the 20th Hong Kong Jewish Film Festival

Why We Recommend it
The 20th edition of the Hong Kong Jewish Film Festival features a diverse lineup consisting of over 20 feature films, comedies, documentaries and shorts about and by Jewish communities for the local audiences.
Description
This year’s opening film is multi award-winning comedy Tel Aviv on Fire, about an inexperienced Israeli Arab hit show writer struggling with the ending of the series while clashing with his uncle the producer and the show’s backers, and at the same time tackling interference from a pro-Israel army commander. The comedic number ultimately addresses the culture similarities and differences between Arabs and Israelis, tackling serious issues with humour. Another highlight films include Back to Maracana, a heartwarming drama about that illustrates contemporary Jewish family relationships, the complex identity of migrants, and the charisma of soccer as a universal language.
Having showcased over 300 films from all over the world since 1999, the festival provides an opportunity to discover Jewish culture, politics, customs, and its ancient and modern history.
