When Circus Funestus‘ microscopic hero, Mr. Flea, declares his love to the elephant in the circus during the performance, the evil villain, Mr. Whip, grows mad with jealousy. He conspires to take over the circus. What was once a circus show become a power struggle between good and the evil, and a fight for life and death…
Circus Funestus was created by Sofie Krog Teater from Denmark, a theatre company dedicated to creating filmic puppet theatre for teens and adults. It was first staged at the April Festival 2016 in Denmark and toured to Italy, France, Russia and Spain. The Hong Kong show will be performed in English with Chinese and English subtitles.
