Classic Gallic Galore: Le French May is Back with jazzy tributes, urban dance and more

Why We Recommend it
One of Hong Kong’s biggest annual events, Le French May is back with two months of music, theatre, film, art and food events held throughout the city.
Description
Returning for its 26th edition, Le French May is dedicated to bringing the best of Gallic culture and cuisine to Asia.
The 2018 festival aims to explore the dialogue between acclaimed artists and nature, the past, and a variety of other art forms. Through a versatile series of events, Le French May will pay tribute to preceding masters and revisit their iconic works.
The programme includes a jazzy tribute to French singers and songwriters Edith Piaf and Charles Trenet, a re-interpretation of Sauguet’s world-known 1945 ballet “Les Forains” bridging ballet, hip hop, classical and electronic music, and an exhibition illustrating Nice’s extraordinary contribution to the history of art in the 1960s and 70s.
