A Mid-Autumn Night Out: Poly*Technic 003 hits 宀 Club

Why We Recommend it
Bored of eating mooncakes at home for Mid-Autumn Festival? Gear up for Clockenflap’s Poly*Technic 003, transforming 宀 Club with live acoustic‑electronic crossovers, modular hardware and vinyl.
Description
Beyond beats, Clockenflap’s intimate music and arts series Poly*Technic is positioned as a live laboratory. The experimental clubbing concept unites artists working across three mediums — sound, visuals and technology — to create a responsive environment played in real time. Inspired by the Japanese concept of komorebi (dappled light filtering through forest canopies), the event transforms the industrial interiors of nightlife haven 宀 Club with living installations.
The series third edition opens with an acoustic‑electronic crossover from saxophonist Jonas Cho and double bassist Nelson Fung, whose practices span jazz, film scoring, free improvisation and textural effects. Local veteran producer Shelf‑Index follows with a bespoke live modular hardware set rooted in noise, sample manipulation and hardware‑driven club aesthetics, while O‑mori closes with a warm vinyl journey through jazz, funk and rare grooves drawn from over two decades in the Shanghai and Hong Kong underground scenes.
So split from the family, take a break from eating all the mooncake and tong yuen, and hit the floor this Mid-Autumn Festival. On 24 September, Poly*Technic 003 runs from 21:00 until 00:30.
