Description

Curated by Eunice Tsang and Jims Lam, and writer Slavica Habjanovic, Colours of Humanity 2025: Pool of Resonance unites 18 artists and 3 community practitioners in an exhibition exploring care, resilience and collective dignity in Hong Kong. Building on the spirit of 2024’s Ripple Effects, this year’s exhibition offers a quieter, deeper resonance — engaging audiences with complex conversations about human dignity and connection in a rapidly changing city.

Selected from over 100 proposals, these creators use video, installation, performance and community-rooted practices to examine themes of inclusion, belonging, memory and renewal. Their works offer intimate reflections on grief, emotional labour and everyday rituals alongside broader dialogues on equity and solidarity.

A jury comprising a diverse group of professionals — curator and educator Tiffany Leung, curator and researcher Vangi Fong, independent curator Joseph Chen King-yuen and art writer Aaina Bhargava — will each bring unique perspectives to the final prize selection. The review process involves two rounds: an initial shortlist based on artistic strength and thematic relevance, followed by deliberations on feasibility, diversity and overall contribution to the exhibition.
