In this talk, acclaimed French comic artist Étienne Davodeau will share his experiences, insights and inspirations, as well as demonstrate his drawing techniques in front of the audience.


Hosted by the Hong Kong Arts Centre and Comix Home Base, the 5th edition of Comics w/o Boundaries will welcome renowned French cartoonist Étienne Davodeau to Hong Kong.

Davodeau (b. 1965) is celebrated for his down-to-earth drawing style and realistic stories based on real people and places. He is best known for his award-winning graphic novel Lulu: femme nue (Lulu Anew), which tells the story of a middle-aged woman rediscovering herself. The story was adapted into a movie in 2013.

The event will be conducted in French and English with Cantonese interpretation. Admission is free, but registration is required and will be handled on a  first-come first-served basis.
