Why We Recommend it

Emerging artists come together at HART Haus through performances and workshops, with a block party on 24 May that includes workshops, studio tours and live music.

Description

HART to Heart is a two-month art and community engagement campaign based in Kennedy Town, bringing together four interdisciplinary groups of emerging artists. The campaign explores the distinctive character of Kennedy Town through performances, walking tours, workshops, and other interactive public programmes. Participating artists including DD Yung and Yasmina Viale Fraine, Doris Ng and Sharu B. Sikdar, Elsa Ngai and Estelle Chan, and Zaat Hap Laa (Mimmy Tjia, Jeffrey Hung, Oscar Lau, and Emily Chan) work from HART Haus studios, weaving craftsmanship, recyclable materials, painting, and contemporary art into the neighbourhood’s fabric.

Running from 27 April to 21 June, HART to Heart invites residents and visitors to engage with the community through shared creative activities, fostering dialogue and connection while reflecting on Kennedy Town’s identity and social bonds.

The Block Party on 24 May at HART Haus will highlight this spirit with art workshop booths, studio tours, and live musical jamming. Visitors can participate in a stamp rally by bringing their stamp collection card and redeem gifts. The party offers an energising opportunity to experience the creativity and community of Kennedy Town in a lively and interactive setting.
