Composing Stories: Hong Kong Artists Reconnect with their Past

Why We Recommend it

With works of diverging Hong Kong artists, this is an interesting exhibit that invites citizens to look back at their own history.

Description

Works by established local artists of diverging generations and creative fields will be showcased in a summer exhibit that uses as its basis an anonymous letter from 1997 written by a Hong Kong emigrant to Australia.
Featuring the works of Kurt Chan, Luke Ching, Elva Lai, Lau Chi Chung, Carmen Ng, Angela Su, Annie Wan and Francis Yu, the exhibit explores the aftermath of Hong Kong’s return to China  and invokes viewers to reconnect with the city’s past.
