Unravelling Psychological Landscapes: Cami Hui’s Artistic Journey

Description

House of Labyrinth, Cami Hui’s latest solo exhibition, invites viewers into an introspective journey through her unique artistic lens. Employing the Mind Palace technique, she reconstructs her life experiences, creating an imagined space that facilitates memory preservation and retrieval. The exhibition features a series of works depicting a mysteriously arranged house, showcasing both close-up and wide shots that reveal the intricacies of her inner world.

Inspired by the “House-Tree-Person Test,” each symbol serves as a pathway to Hui’s conscious and subconscious thoughts. This exploration encourages audiences to engage with their present mental states, fostering a connection to their own experiences while navigating through her art. Visitors are invited to approach the experience with an open heart and mind, prompting reflections on how our environments influence our psychological landscapes. House of Labyrinth runs from 9 January to 8 February 2025, at Contemporary by Angela Li.
