Description

In celebration of Buddhistdoor magazine’s 30th anniversary, The Dakini Code: Lotus-Born Master and the Event Horizon is the third film in explorer Laurence Brahm’s Lotus-Born Master series. This documentary explores the intersection of science and spirituality, focusing on astrophysics concepts like dark matter and wave theory and connecting them with ancient Himalayan philosophies. It also honours Padmasambhava, the Lotus-Born Master, who bridged diverse cultures and unified philosophy with science in the Himalayas. Brahm’s interpretation highlights the dakini, feminine divine forces believed to enable spiritual access to parallel universes, offering a profound exploration of ancient wisdom and cosmic science.

The evening will also feature a pre-screening book signing with Brahm, as well as a panel dialogue between the filmmaker and Thomas Hon Wing Polin, director of Buddhist Door and translator of related texts.

The event starts with a book signing at 18:15 on 14 November, followed by the film screening at 18:50 and a post-screening talk and Q&A at 20:30.
