Diaspora Artist Walasse Ting’s Symphony of Colours

Why We Recommend it

Acclaimed Chinese diaspora artist Walasse Ting’s unforgettably vibrant works are showcased at the gallery that first promoted the artist in the Hong Kong market.

Description

As one of the first exhibitions in Alisan Fine Art’s new space in Central, the event showcases a curated selection of around 25 of Ting’s vibrant paintings portraying ladies, flowers and birds.

Influenced by Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art, Ting’s feverous, vibrant works celebrate the succulent beauty of life and love, using bold, dripping brushstrokes and bright acrylic pigments.  In the late 1970s, Ting began experimenting with figures, developing the distinctive style that is so familiar today.
