Description
The Apartment features a series of intimate photographs shot by Douce d’Ivry in collaboration with Lotus, a young teacher in Guangzhou who has been her muse ever since d’Ivry’s arrival in Hong Kong.
In this exhibition, d’Ivry displays her ability to integrate documentary-like realist visuals with stylised fashion aesthetics. Moreover, d’Ivry deliberately utlilises a film camera to further the authenticity of her images, giving them a highly captivating allure that is at once nostalgic and modern.
The Apartment will be held at Lumeun Home, an art space dedicated to home decor.
