Explore Hong Kong food culture and traditional medicine with Walk in Hong Kong

Why We Recommend it
Organised as a part of the Hong Kong Swing Festival, this walking tour by Walk in Hong Kong will focus on a story-laden trinity of streets off Des Voeux Road West.
Description
Why do the Chinese prize these food and medicinal items so highly? Why are these expensive delicacies and health remedies found in so many stores in this part of Hong Kong? Where do they come from and where will they be shipped to?
Tour guide Olivia Tang of Walk in Hong Kong will touch upon these questions and more in this 2.5 hour long walk in Sheung Wan. Highlights of the tour include visits to some of Sheung Wan’s oldest shops that specialise in dried seafood and traditional Chinese medicine, and learning about how the Chinese traditionally look after their health through Chinese medicine and the evolution of Chinese food tastes and banquet culture.
