Hailed as China’s most accomplished explorer, Wong’s career spans 30 years of adventuring through remote China as well as its neighbouring countries.
He has led six major expeditions for the National Geographic magazine, and founded the China Exploration & Research Society, which expanded his exploration work to conservation of China’s natural and cultural heritage.
In this lecture, Wong will talk about how he and his team reached the headwater and source of the Irrawaddy River in Zayu County of southeastern Tibet in May 2017 with the help of exhaustive maps and satellite image research.
