Beethoven’s piano works are performed by one of today’s foremost interpreters of his repertoire, Finnish pianist Olli Mustonen, in Premiere Performances’ concert.
Description
Performed by Finnish pianist, Olli Mustonen, Beethoven is featured in this concert as artist and as muse. The programme features 12 Variations on “Das Waldmädchen” in A major, as well as Piano Sonata No. 23 in F minor, Op. 57, “Appassionata”.
The German pianist and composer’s pieces will be performed along with compositions by Mustonen himself. The Asia premiere of Mustonen’s Taivaanvalot (meaning “lights from heaven”) will dazzle together with the works that inspired it. His “Nonet for Strings No. 2” will also be performed by a line-up of established musicians and groups, including Aaron Boyd, Arnaud Sussmann, Paul Neubauer, Narek Hakhnazaryan, Borromeo String Quartet.
