Description
Freespace Happening was launched in 2012 by the West Kowloon Cultural District with the mission of creating a unique space for creativity and performance that’s free for all.
This month’s edition will see live performances from a mix of musicians and genres, including electro act Gravity Alterstra, alternative groove-funk band Site Access, experimental street musician Li Daiguo from China and Hong Kong singer-songwriter, drummer and guitarist Jun Kung with his full band, and an electro mix of traditional Chinese tunes. by zheng player Bou Kwan Ying and composer REBEARTH.
Other activities around the park include a Xiqu Workshop, where visitors can create a life-size paper headdresses, performances and workshops exploring the rich traditions of Indonesian dance, and House of Hong Kong Literature’s “Reading on the Grass” bookcrossing event.
