Freespace Happening: Part Music Festival, Part Arts Event, Part Free-for-all

Why We Recommend it

With one day packed with outdoor activities that include local and international musicians and artists, this recurring, free festival promises to be an intriguing and inclusive event.

Description

Freespace Happening was launched as an annual festival in 2012 by the West Kowloon Cultural District with the mission of creating a unique space for creativity and performance that’s free for all.

This year they will present an exciting line-up of local and international acts, including popular marching band Le Groupe Electrogène Fanfare Club, who will also perform at this year’s Clockenflap festival, Soulmates, Life Was All Silence, Nanyin virtuoso Ewong Tong, and singer-songwriter Jonathan Yang who will be sharing the stage with local musician Tomii Chan.

A cross-disciplinary affair, the festival also features“Barking Blind Date”, canine speed-dating for dog lovers,  writing activities, a literary Bonsai workshop, a handicraft market and theatre and dance shows and workshops.
