Gold Painted Signs: Simon Go’s Photos of Old Hong Kong Shops

Why We Recommend it
This photography exhibition is a visual testimony of all kinds of old Hong Kong shops and their Gold Painted Signs across districts.
Description
Gold Painted Signs features a selection of 60 images taken by Hong Kong photographer Simon Go between 2004 and 2017.
Go’s striking black-and-white images will lead you to a journey back in time, to places that are unfamiliar yet friendly, perhaps even chaotic, but full of personal touches.
Some of the shops that Go has captured have since disappeared, but the remaining ones, which are hidden to many, are waiting to be discovered, appreciated and shared.
