Greenfest 2018: Workshops and Talks on The Future of Food With Rooftop Republic

Why We Recommend it

Revolving around the topic of “rethinking our food”, this new event is packed with interactive and fun hands-on activities.

Description

Organised by urban farming initiative Rooftop Republic and Hysan Place, the first edition of GreenFest will play host to a series of talks and workshops on urban farming, plant-based cooking, mushroom-growing, DIY hydroponics farm building, composting and insect growing. Participants can sign up to a total of three workshops, which are led by change-makers, food activists, urban farmers, chefs and food entrepreneurs.

Through these workshops, as well as demonstrations and talks, participants will dig into the issues surrounding our food system while exploring solutions and innovations to (re)connect with food and define the value, role and place of healthy and sustainable food in tomorrow’s urban societies.
