Liang Yi Museum introduces a brand-new personalised workshop, Handpick Your History, inviting visitors to engage with and learn about selected pieces from the museum’s archives.
Description
Unlike conventional museum experiences, Liang Yi Museum’s Handpick Your History workshop allows visitors to choose resonant objects from a curated list of gems currently in storage or archives.
The programme will unfold through a series of special themes, rotated bimonthly, to highlight specific seasons, craftsmanship and artistic traditions. The inaugural theme, “A Winter’s Tale,” celebrates upcoming winter festivals such as Thanksgiving, Winter Solstice and Christmas.
The curated selection will feature luxurious silver for festive meals, Asian works of art inspired by “The Three Friends of Winter,” and sparkly vanities in an extra frosty palette. Each object has been thoughtfully chosen to evoke seasonal splendour and cosiness.
The workshops can be booked alongside a tour of the museum’s permanent exhibition or on their own. As part of the launch, students can enjoy free Handpick Your History workshops every Wednesday from 1 November 2025 to 31 January 2026.
