Henry Moore at British Council’s Revamped Bookshop Gallery

Why We Recommend it
The British Council Hong Kong launches its new Bookshop Gallery with Moore’s Visions. More Revisions., an exhibition that revisits Henry Moore’s enduring influence through rarely seen lithographs and contemporary works by Hong Kong and Taipei artists.
Description
Henry Moore anchors the opening of the newly transformed Bookshop Gallery at the British Council Hong Kong with Moore’s Visions. More Revisions., curated by Jims Lam. The exhibition features seven rarely shown lithographs by Moore, whose monumental forms shaped Hong Kong’s early engagement with international modern art.
Alongside Moore, contemporary artists Chihoi, Wilson Shieh, Liao Wen, and Zheng Bo present works that reinterpret themes of monumentality, care, and the body – from surreal comic scripts and feminised skyscrapers to intimate sculpture and live botanical drawings. As the inaugural show in this revitalised space, the exhibition signals a renewed commitment to cultural exchange and artistic dialogue between Hong Kong and the UK.
