Hong Kong Art Week 2019 Goes Back to Basics

Why We Recommend it
Hong Kong Art Week 2019 returns this November with a range of art events which include gallery hopping, an art brunch, and a two-day Art Symposium.
Description
The seventh edition of Hong Kong Art Week presents a collective front of art galleries and special events supported by the Hong Kong Art Gallery Association’s member galleries.
As one of the biggest art festivals in Hong Kong, events will take place in various locations across the city. Go gallery hopping on Art Gallery Night in Central, Sheung Wan and Sai Ying Pun, where art lovers will be treated to opening receptions and special events ranging from artist talks to workshops and live performances, or relish art with some refreshments at the South Island Art Brunch, as galleries in Wong Chuk Hang and Tin Wan open doors with light snacks for visitors.
The flagship programme of the week, the two-day Art Symposium, will bring together a roster of over 20 art professionals from the local, regional and international art scene. Themed “Back to Basics: Restructuring the Future” and co-presented with Asia Society Hong Kong Center, the Art Symposium is an annual art convention featuring a thoughtfully curated programme of talks, panel discussions and screening on topics relevant to the art ecology in Hong Kong and beyond.
