Hong Kong Artist Wong Tong’s ‘Hidden Gaze’

Why We Recommend it
Inventive local artist Wong Tong exhibits his latest body of work, which is inspired by mundane objects, details and sound, at Sin Sin Fine Art.
Description
Hidden Gaze features paintings, installations and hand-made instruments, such as the tongue drum and ukelele, that are created by combining traditional handicraft and new elements.
When making his art, Wong Tong tries to open up all of his senses in order to receive messages—like details and sound—from his surroundings, which he then incorporates in his work.
Wong likes the slow process of oil painting which allows him to think not only about the artwork itself, but also allows him to ponder upon his life, ideas and beliefs, as well as the path that he is taking.
