Feel the Rhythm of Argentina: Malevo Takes the Stage

Why We Recommend it

Officially named a “Cultural Ambassador to the National Identity of Argentina,” dance group Malevo presents an electrifying fusion of traditional Malambo and modern flair that continues to resonate with audiences worldwide.

Description

Founded by director and choreographer Matías Jaime, Malevo is an all-male dance company that redefines the traditional Argentine folk dance of Malambo with the passion and warrior spirit of Argentina’s legendary horsemen called gauchos. Since bursting onto the scene with their thrilling performances on America’s Got Talent in 2015, Malevo has given sold-out performances at iconic venues like the Sydney Opera House and the Royal Albert Hall in London, and has collaborated with household names like Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin and Cirque du Soleil. Their shows blend energetic footwork, percussion and boleadoras with elements of flamenco and urban rhythms, creating an exhilarating spectacle that honours Argentina’s cultural heritage while pushing the boundaries of dance.
