Hong Kong Cool: Ballet Meets Visual Arts and Fashion

Why We Recommend it
This inventive cross-media production, produced by the Hong Kong Ballet, brings together local choreographers and multimedia artists.
Description
Hong Kong Cool is a fusion of ballet, music, visual arts and fashion, featuring eight local choreographers paired with composers, painters, sculptors, fashion designers and video artists. It is produced by the Hong Kong Ballet on partnership with West Kowloon Cultural District and Hong Kong Art School.
Each show is followed by an informal post-event party, during which guests can mingle with their favourite dancer over a drink and enjoy a late-night screening of The Unheard Beat. This new documentary from film director Oliver Shing reveals the sweat, passion, disappointment and triumph behind the creative process of creating Hong Kong Cool, featuring Yuh Egami, Hu Song Wei Ricky and other Hong Kong Ballet dancers.
