Hong Kong International Choreography Festival 2019

Why We Recommend it
Returning for its fourth edition, the Hong Kong International Choreography Festival presents three captivating evening shows featuring both long and short performances by local and international artists.
Description
Founded by Unity Space, an organisation dedicated to spreading interdisciplinary practices that integrate performing and visual arts with healing and spirituality, the Hong Kong International Choreography Festival (HKICF) offers a stage for artists to present and perform their new choreographic productions in Hong Kong.
Held over the course of three nights, all of the festival’s shows will see productions by both Unity Space’s Artists in Residency as well as guest artists.
This year’s line up includes Australian dance company The Farm’s The Crossing, a piece that examines the unique bond that exists between two men and the way it has been forged through the language of dance and improvisation. Hailing from Greece, Dionysios Alamanos and Danae Dimitriadi are to perform their own piece, ATMA, a show in which man and animal merge in a constantly shape-shifting organism to stories about survival, vulnerability, and the primal urge to dominate.
