[Online] Hong Kong International Young Readers Literary Festival 2020

Why We Recommend it
This year’s Hong Kong International Young Readers Literary Festival will take place online and offer a series of fun events and digital resources for children across Hong Kong.
Description
In light of school closures and quarantine measures, this year’s Hong Kong International Young Readers Literary Festival will transform into a series of online events and digital resources for children across Hong Kong.
The festival has been working hard with local and international writers to put together a series of online events, which will air live in the first two weeks of June and then remain online along with related resources, for students, parents and teachers to access whenever they like.
Four virtual events will be available to everyone, ranging from a fun, friendly exploration of the story of opera with Welsh opera singer Mark Llewelyn Evans, to story time with writer Anna Tso from her award-winning Hong Kong Stories series.
There will also be a social media book giveaway for kids who watch an event and post a picture or story on Instagram.
Those interested in asking an author a question during the event can send an email to info@festival.org.hk and the Festival will try to include it.
No need to worry if you missed the festival – all four virtual events will stay available for streaming online until the end of summer here.
