Theatre du Pif explores the world of local poet Leung Ping Kwan (Yasi) and turns it into theatre. Using the sound and movement of our time, the play enables the audience to connect to Yasi’s deep sentiments about Hong Kong and explore his resilience and strength as he walks through the mists of uncertainty.

Pen named Yasi, Leung Ping Kwan (1949-2013) was a celebrated man of letters in Hong Kong who received the Hong Kong Medal of Honor. Writing mainly in the Chinese language under his pen-name Yasi, he was a prolific poet, novelist, essayist, translator, researcher, teacher, scholar, photographer, videographer, and literary, film and cultural critic.
