As part of a series of books on Hong Kong released by Penguin this year, writer Xu Xi, who has lived between the SAR and New York, has penned a non fiction memoir called Dear Hong Kong: An Elegy for A City.

She is also a fiction writer, having most recently published That Man in Our Lives.

In this talk at Asia Society, Xu Xi will share some insights into the process of writing, and elucidate on the challenges of being a transnational author.
