How to Be Happy Together: Connections Through Art

Why We Recommend it

Curated by researcher-in-residence Zairong Xiang, How to Be Happy Together? navigates through the complexities of human relationships and identity through the lens of contemporary art.

Description

How to Be Happy Together? is an exhibition inspired by legendary director Wong Kar Wai’s 1997 film Happy Together, featuring over 20 international artists whose works critique dualism. By examining different dualities present in relationships — such as tradition and modernity or the imagined and real — Para Site’s latest exhibition highlights diverse artistic practices that challenge conventional notions of belonging, prompting reflection on how we can cultivate happiness together and co-exist peacefully in a world marked by differences.
