Description
Open the Box 2025: Bloom of Light brings interactive art to Tai Kwun Contemporary, inviting the public to participate in a living installation led by Japanese artist Shinji Ohmaki. As part of the Echoes Infinity series, this project reverses traditional roles, allowing visitors to create floral patterns and contribute to an ever-evolving gallery environment.
Through workshops and open sessions, participants add their own designs, expanding a shared landscape that reflects a diversity of identities, memories, and perspectives. The installation grows organically, recording both individual and collective stories within the space.
By opening the gallery to collaborative creation, Open the Box 2025: Bloom of Light highlights the potential of interactive art to connect people and foster new ways of experiencing contemporary art in Hong Kong.
