The Italian Charity Day at Sandy Bay
Why We Recommend it
Italian Women’s Association’s biggest annual charity bazaar returns for the 36th year to raise funds for the ‘Society for the Relief of Disabled Children’, the main fundraiser for the Duchess of Kent Children’s Hospital.
The Italian Charity Day is one of the generous sponsors of the big charity drive ‘Operation Santa Claus’, a joint effort by SCMP and RTHK, which supports many projects of local organisations in need.
The biggest attractions of open-air event at the garden of the Duchess of Kent Children’s Hospital are the Bazaar, with more than 90 stalls selling branded clothing, accessories, shoes, toys, electrical appliances, etc. and the ‘Gourmet Corner’, which offers tasty Italian ready-to-eat dishes, aperitivo, and snacks. The food on offer is sponsored by established Italian restaurants and F&B companies in Hong Kong.
There is a charity contribution entrance fee of HKD20. Visitors will get a canvas bag printed with the organiser’s logo.
