The Happy-Go-Lucky Bigband, a 18-strong band from Hong Kong that likes to play the classic work of composer Duke Ellington, will perform at The Fringe Club’s recurring Big Band Night.
Description
Led by Japanese trumpeter and conductor Kenny Matsuura, The Happy-Go-Lucky Bigband, was formed in 2010. The jazz orchestra comprises young and eager-to-learn musicians dedicated to big-band-style jazz.
This show is presented by the Fringe Club as a part of their “Jazz-Go-Central, Jazz-Go-Fringe” project, which was founded to create a more fertile and vibrant Jazz and music ecology in Hong Kong. The Big Band Night is a recurring event in which various local jazz big bands are invited to perform at Fringe Dairy.
