With Art Month in full swing, JCCAC is hosting an Arts Basel Hong Kong parallel exhibition: Le nid, La coquille (the nest, the shell). Eleven JCCAC resident artists bring each of their expertise in different media like ink and installation and styles to explore intimate dwellings, thinking together about the interplay between the inner self and the living space, as well as the relationship between comfort and transformation.
The conversation continues in JCCAC’s central courtyard, in which Archives in the Nest and Shells presents JCCAC residents’ smaller-scale works. This more intimate collection shows residents’ inspirations and interests beyond the main exhibition, giving more insight into their perspectives and approaches.
Free guided tours in Cantonese will be delivered on 21 and 22 March, from 16:00 to 17:00; registration required. Participants aged 12 or below will receive a complimentary illustrated guidebook.
