Jockey Club New Arts Power: Threading Through Time

Why We Recommend it
The third edition of Jockey New Arts Power comes to its finale with the annual Art Walk programme Threading Through Time, which includes an exhibition of wall murals, performances and a cabaret.
Description
Every edition of Jockey New Arts Power ends with a finale programme being staged in a local venue, created and produced by artists from across disciplines. This year’s finale Art Walk programme Threading Through Time is curated and produced by The Mills.
Based on Chan Wai’s local novella The Memory of Herbs, the programme brings together five groups of acclaimed local artists and arts groups, including Lam Fung and Kay Chan, Ivanhoe Lam, Santayana Li and Chester Wong, Hugh Cho and TS Crew, Ata Wong Chun Tat and Théâtre de la Feuille, and O Theatre Workshop, to tell an enticing story about the local weaving industry.
Among the array of exhibitions and productions is Living up to HER, a performance centred on the funeral story of She and He in The Memory of Herbs. It is told via a combination of monologue, dance, physical body performance and a cappella singing, where dancers and the a cappella singers wander through three shops at The Mills, portraying life coming to its end.
Please note that registration is required for the four performances but not the exhibition.
