Journey Through Memory: Masked Theatre Show ‘André and Dorine’ Comes to Hong Kong
Why We Recommend it
This poetic piece of mask and mime theatre is lauded for exploring living with Alzeheimer’s with warmth and humour.
André and Dorine is about an elderly couple, who live a life of routine just like many old couples do. But when Alzheimer’s disease breaks the monotony, their relationship enters a new chapter in their pursuit to remember who they are and what their love means to each other.
The show is performed through movement, images and music, and has been staged more than 400 times across twenty five countries. It was brought to life by Kulunka Theatre Company from Spain. Founded in 2010, the company is dedicated to making theatre accessible to and entertaining for the wider public.
