The Everyday Serenity of June Ho’s Hong Kong
Wyndham Social, Central
Why We Recommend it
Artist, illustator and printmaker June Hon finds serenity and nonchalence amid the bustle in her soothing, whimiscal Hong Kong illustrations.
Description
June Ho finds a grounding beauty in the everyday. The artist and printmaker’s bright, often whimsical street scenes bathe her city in perennially warm, nostalgic glow. The new exhibition Soft Noise continues this calling, highlighting moments of stillness and reflection too often ignored in fast-paced Hong Kong — captured in the sudden shifts in life and mood that punctuate the passing of days.
It’s a fitting tribute from hosts Wyndham Social — who named Ho winner of its Wyndham Social Emerging Artist Award 2025 at last year’s ArtNext Fair 2025.
