Camp With Kembali: Weaving Baskets and Natural Connections
Ark Eden, Mui Wo
Why We Recommend it
Kembali’s overnight camp at Mui Wo takes you through harvesting wild plants and weaving baskets from them, exploring design as a shared experience, uncovering our connections with nature and one another.
Description
Nature-based wellness initiative Kembali is hosting an overnight camp at Mui Wo centred around basket weaving as a communal practice. Through harvesting materials from wild plants, processing the wild fibres and weaving baskets from them, the workshop gives participants the opportunity to feel our relationships with nature. Cooking and singing by a campfire under the stars at night, the slow in pace encourage uncovering our connections with one another and with nature.
Camps will be set up among a forest valley taken care by the Ark Eden Foundation, a forest school and permaculture centre based on Lantau. Vegetarian meals will be provided.
The event will be held from 10:30 on 15 November to 16:00 the following day.
