Learn Patchwork and Crocheting in #CHATwithYou Online Workshops

Why We Recommend it
The Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile (CHAT) is offering online workshops inspired by fabric artworks from artists Movana Chen and Taguchi Yukihiro.
Description
Organised by the Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile (CHAT), the aptly titled summer online programme #CHATwithYou offers two online workshops which enable participants to make accessories or patchworks with recycled materials.
Inspired by Hong Kong artist Movana Chen’s work, Fabric of CHAT, the online crocheting workshop invites participants to upcycle used T-shirts and turn them into home or fashion accessories. On the other hand, the patchwork workshop, which is inspired by Japanese artist Taguchi Yukihiro’s work Patch Pass—Umbrella, will teach participants the fundamentals of patchwork using fabric swatches. The crocheting workshop can be registered here while the patchwork workshop is available for registration here.
CHAT will also be presenting the first exhibition of their collection, Sight Unseen—Forking Paths in the CHAT Collection, from now until 11th October. The exhibition explores CHAT’s history in a retrospective view as the contemporary artworks on display creates an intriguing juxtaposition with historical artifacts from Nan Fung Textiles’ past.
