Life Records II: Visual Memoirs of Indonesian Artists

Why We Recommend it
Following the evocative journey of Life Records I, which delved into the formative years of several pioneering Indonesian artists, Life Records II unveils intimate artworks by another group of Indonesian artists exploring memory, identity and transformation.
Description
Following Life Records I, Sin Sin Fine Art’s Life Records II — art: the essence of lived experience continues an intimate exploration of Indonesian contemporary art, bringing together a distinguished group of artists such as Anusapati, Andy Dewantoro, Dani Huda, Hanafi and gallery founder and artist Sin Sin Man herself. The exhibition showcases artworks as quiet yet powerful visual memoirs — reflecting the artists’ personal, emotional and philosophical landscapes. Through abstraction, figurative narratives, and material experimentation, these creators weave a rich, multidimensional portrait of resilience and evolution.
For Sin, it is more than curation; it’s a lifelong dialogue honouring enduring relationships and the passage of time shaping every artist’s story. Life Records II and its predecessor compose a sweeping mosaic of contemporary Indonesian art, celebrating lives lived through art as records, witnesses and gestures of remembrance.
The show’s opening reception will take place on 21 November, from 18:00 to 21:00 at Sin Sin Fine Art. At 20:30, there will be a performance by local band Kowloon Cowboys.
